Introduction

As Team Lead Manufacturing Engineering, you will lead a technical team operating at the interface between Production, Development, Quality, and Supply Chain. Together with your team, you will ensure that our production processes remain stable, scalable, and well documented, and that technical changes, prototypes, and new product introductions are reliably transferred into production. In this role, you will combine technical expertise, process-oriented thinking, and strong leadership skills. You will prioritize engineering and change management topics, create transparency around risks and dependencies, and ensure that technical requirements are translated into robust, production-ready solutions. 

Your Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering team
  • Ensure stable, scalable, and well-documented production processes
  • Establish and coordinate production support for product modifications and troubleshooting in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Manage engineering changes from initial assessment through to successful implementation in production
  • Prioritize Manufacturing Engineering, change management, and prototype-related activities
  • Further develop work plans, work instructions, inspection processes, bill-of-material structures, and production master data
  • Coordinate component preparation and prototype builds with a strong focus on reproducibility and readiness for series production
  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, Production Planning, and Project Management
  • Establish clear standards, performance metrics, and escalation paths
  • Actively drive continuous improvement, standardization, lean principles, and digital collaboration

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or equivalent), preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Micro- and Nanotechnology, Production Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Change Management, or a complex manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams, or a demonstrated readiness to take on people leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical documentation, production planning, bill of materials (BOMs), and ERP-related production data structures
  • Hands-on experience with engineering change processes (ECR/ECO), product phase-in/phase-out activities, and cross-functional implementation projects
  • Strong process mindset, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify practical and business-oriented solutions
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
