Introduction

As Team Lead Production – Positioners & Sensors (m/f/d), you will take both functional and disciplinary responsibility for one of our production teams and ensure that high-quality finished products are reliably assembled from supplied components and subassemblies. You will drive stable operations, high process quality, and on-time execution of manufacturing orders.
This role requires strong leadership skills combined with a solid technical background, process-oriented thinking, decisiveness, and a clear commitment to continuous improvement. When production challenges arise, you work closely with your team to quickly identify and implement customer-focused solutions. You confidently collaborate across functions while balancing safety, quality, cost efficiency, delivery performance, and employee engagement.

Your Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and develop the Positioners & Sensors production team, including workforce planning, employee development, and performance management.
  • Ensure a stable, safe, and efficient manufacturing process, from released production input to tested finished product.
  • Manage and monitor production execution with respect to safety, quality, cost, delivery performance, and team effectiveness.
  • Continuously analyze and improve processes, workflows, and production conditions.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve deviations, bottlenecks, and disruptions in daily operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning, R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, and Quality.
  • Support product introductions, engineering changes, prototypes, and pre-series production activities in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively promote continuous improvement (CIP), standardization, lean principles, and digital collaboration.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed technical vocational training with further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician, or alternatively a degree in an engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within a technically demanding assembly or precision manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing employees.
  • Strong technical understanding of products and manufacturing processes, including component, subassembly, and final assembly operations.
  • Experience with shop floor management, KPI systems, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and digital manufacturing tools.
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, sound decision-making ability, and a passion for driving and implementing change.
