Your Responsibilities and Duties
- Building and technically leading a software team to develop the core software architecture of a new microscope
- Definition, design, and implementation of the overall software architecture
- Development of the foundational software platform for the microscope system
- Conceptualization and implementation of an innovative, user‑centric graphical user interface (GUI)
- Translating complex user and market requirements into intuitive, high‑performance software solutions
- Ensuring high system performance, stability, and scalability
- Technical ownership of GUI design, usability, and user experience
- Close collaboration with hardware, systems, and development teams to ensure optimal integration
- Acting as a technical mentor and key knowledge holder within the software team

Your Skills and Qualifications
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in developing complex software architectures, ideally for imaging systems with a high level of user interaction
- Strong expertise in modern software development, including architectures, interfaces, performance optimization, and maintainability
- In‑depth experience in GUI design, usability concepts, and user‑centered design
- Experience in building and technically leading software or development teams
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
